Attendance and labour logs
The daily site routine: mark attendance, attach labour to BOQ lines, handle overtime and corrections, and get payroll from a total rather than a transcription.
Attendance is the most frequent entry in the system, so it is designed to be the fastest. A full crew should take under a minute on a phone.
Set up workers once
Add each worker with a trade and a daily rate. The rate lives on the worker record so supervisors never enter money, which keeps pay confidential and removes the most common typing error.
- Trade drives grouping and productivity comparisons later.
- A rate change applies from the date you set it, so historical entries keep the rate that was actually paid.
- Daily wage, monthly salaried and subcontracted labour are recorded separately because they hit the ledger differently.

Open the project on the mobile app
The supervisor sees only their assigned projects and the crew on them.

Mark present
Tap per worker. Yesterday crew carries forward, so an unchanged day is a single confirm.

Add overtime if any
Hours on top of the day, recorded against the same entry rather than a separate note.

Code to a BOQ line (optional)
One tap that turns attendance into labour cost per line. Skip it and the cost still lands on the project.

Entries save on the device and sync when signal returns. No connection is needed to record the day.
For the first month ask for attendance only. Add photos and line coding once the daily habit is established.
Corrections
Supervisors can edit a previous day, and the edit is recorded with who changed it and when. Blocking corrections produces a tidy record everyone knows is wrong, which is worse than a corrected one.
From attendance to payroll and cost

Because payroll reads the same entries as project cost, the two can never disagree. That is the whole reason to record attendance in the system rather than a spreadsheet.
